Foreign Trade Zone Benefits:

 

DFW International Airport oversees Foreign Trade Zone (“FTZ”) grants; Copeland Commercial has been successful in Negotiating an FTZ overlay on DFW Commerce Center. Foreign Trade Zone benefits including additional inventory tax exemptions for international inventory and savings or elimination of customs duties, tariffs and taxes.

 

Chapter 380 Inventory Tax Rebates:

 

The City of Irving also provides Chapter 380 tax incentives that can reduce inventory cost for future tenants through an inventory tax rebate for qualifying freeport-exempt companies. The City Council can pre-approve qualifying distribution centers—both existing and new—as “rebate eligible.” With the Dallas County granting the Freeport Exemption and the City of Irving 380 tax incentives, a double-freeport exemption is possible. The Freeport Exemption applies to inventory that has been acquired or imported into the state of Texas and will be forwarded back out of the state within 175 days.
